Give Greenwich the gift of connection

Nearly 1 in 3 Greenwich residents report feeling lonely.

Loneliness and isolation affect people of all ages and backgrounds. People who are already vulnerable — due to poverty, disability or discrimination — are even more likely to struggle. Residents of Greenwich say they want more help to build connection and community.

100% of donations go to projects and groups that tackle isolation and loneliness in Greenwich.

This could be support groups, sports club, or events for children and families. Local community members decide where this funding goes. Greenwich Giving provides further help and advice so that projects can reach more people and have the best possible impact.

Greenwich Giving can also connect other types of gifts — like time, skills, food or space — to local charities. If you would like to give this kind of gift, please get in touch!

We spoke to hundreds of Greenwich residents and asked what was their experience of living in the borough and what they'd like to change. They told us:

There are far too many people who feel isolated whether because of age, health issues or money issues.
Too many people in the Borough are unable to speak about getting help for loneliness. We need more activities and clubs.
I see first hand the effect that [loneliness] has on people.
